Sixth Form Administrator

Fortismere is seeking a well-motivated and organised individual to provide administrative support to our thriving sixth form. 

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the ever-changing needs of both students and the School. They will have a methodical approach to work and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

A good working knowledge of the Google suite and Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel, is important and experience in a similar role is highly desirable. You should possess a confident and approachable attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines. You will need to have a strong attention to detail, be flexible and capable of working independently, whilst demonstrating a high level of confidentiality at all times.

The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Director of Sixth form with strategic leadership for the Sixth Form in carrying out the day to day operation of Years 12 and 13. The role is student facing, and intended to include administrative support and routine general clerical duties. 

Key Responsibilities of this post include: 

  •  Maintaining and entering student’s information on Cloud School (MIS)  
  • Sending and receiving communication 
  • Monitoring attendance using the school data system  
  • Collating academic and pastoral data, including destinations data  
  • Supporting the organisation and administration of Sixth Form events 
  • Assisting with the administration of the UCAS process 
  • Assisting with the administration of the application and enrolment process 
  • Promoting a positive working environment within the Sixth Form 

The successful applicant will be required to work term time (41 weeks, of which two to be worked in the summer holiday time to ensure successful enrolment and readiness for start of term).

Director of Operations

Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Co-headteachers are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead on all aspects of the operational side of our school. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of school systems and be aware of local and national developments in education.

The right person will provide leadership of school systems ensuring they meet the needs of the curriculum, administration and management of the school. The successful candidate will have experience of developing innovative approaches for supporting staff and students to succeed and thrive. You will work as a member of the school leadership team and attend SLT r meetings.
