The next Fortismere Holiday Camps will run from Tuesday 2nd January 2024 to Friday 5th January 2024.
Activities on offer include Sports, Art, Drama, Cooking and Early years fun. Our camps are led by experienced practitioners and offer a full day of fun, entertainment and activities that support social interaction.
Activities take place at Fortismere School (Tetherdown, London N10 1NE) from 9am to 4pm. The cost is from £80. There is an option for an 08.15am drop off and/or a late collection of 4.30pm for an additional cost. Tiny Twinkles- Age 3-6 (2nd-5th Jan)
Activities are led by professional actors with a love for the early years! Each day the children will explore different genres of the creative arts - learning songs and dances, acting and role-play adventures, exploring arts and crafts plus lots of games and fun.
Multisport Age- 7-15 (2nd-5th Jan)
Multi sports are delivered by sports teachers and coaches and the children will partake in a variety of activities such as football, rounders, tennis and fun sporty competitions.
Musical Theatre Age 6-12 (2nd-5th Jan)
Children will explore different styles of dance with an emphasis on ballet and tap. Children will work on technique, dance routines and choreography, as well as projects designed to encourage creativity when story telling through dance. The participants will work towards final pieces and will be given plenty of time to interact with others and make lasting friendships! Leaders are professional performers with a background in theatre and dance.
Drama Camp Age 7-15 (2nd-5th Jan)
Children will work on improvisation and comedy skills. Lots of drama games and exercises with the children to develop their confidence and skills. Sessions are delivered by Drama Teachers and professional assistants.
Pottery Clay Camp Age 7-15 (2nd-5th Jan
At the pottery clay camp, children will embark on a hands-on adventure into the world of ceramics. With their fingers immersed in cool, pliable clay, they will learn the ancient art of pottery-making. Guided by skilled instructors, young minds will discover the magic of shaping clay into functional and artistic objects. From pinch pots to coil creations, they will explore various techniques, honing their motor skills and unleashing their imagination.
Art Camp Age 7-14 (2nd-5th Jan)
In the vibrant world of an art camp, children will immerse themselves in a kaleidoscope of colours, textures, and boundless creativity. Guided by passionate instructors, they will explore a wide array of artistic mediums, from painting and drawing to sculpture and mixed media. Through engaging projects and inspiring themes, young artists will unleash their imaginations, experimenting with different techniques and styles. They will learn to express their emotions, thoughts, and unique perspectives through their artwork, discovering the power of self-expression. In an environment buzzing with artistic energy and collaboration, children will not only develop their artistic skills but also cultivate a sense of curiosity, resilience, and the ability to think outside the box. Art camp will be a transformative experience, where young minds will thrive, grow, and create lasting memories.
Cooking Camp Age 8-15 (2nd-5th Jan)
In the flavourful realm of a cooking camp, children will embark on a culinary adventure filled with delicious aromas, tantalizing tastes, and culinary discoveries. Guided by experienced chefs, young aspiring cooks will learn the art of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen safety. From exploring diverse recipes from around the world, they will gain a deep appreciation for the magic that happens in the kitchen. Through hands-on cooking sessions, they will chop, mix, sauté, and bake their way to culinary excellence. Alongside their fellow young chefs, they will develop teamwork and communication skills as they collaborate on group projects and share their delectable creations. Cooking camp will not only fuel their passion for food but also foster a sense of pride, confidence, and a lifelong love for the culinary arts.
