Ephesus is a college full to bursting with talented young people who are able to work together to make the college motto ‘Think for yourself, act for others’ a reality. Ephesus students are bound by a common desire to be successful, happy and compassionate individuals who encourage one another to achieve their goals.
As a college we help to support and fundraise for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, a local charity that cares for families and children with life limiting or life threatening difficulties. We raise money through various college events such as ice cream stalls, cake baking and sweet selling. Most recently a number of students helped to raise over £800 by running the 5k rainbow run for Noah’s Ark in July.
Ephesus has a team of students from all year groups who make up our student ‘Ambassador’ cohort. These students play an active role in planning and creating various college events and projects. The Ambassadors act as a student voice for the college and help to raise issues and solve problems on behalf of the rest of the students. They are conscientious, caring individuals who work together to make Ephesus a college to be proud of. We are always looking for new recruits so if that sounds like you, come along to a meeting to get started!
Ephesus has a fantastic team of tutors and co-tutors who know their students well and who continuously strive for all students to achieve their potential. We have a broad and varied vertical tutoring timetable which covers well-being, mentoring, reading and inter form competitions. Ephesus students are celebrated regularly for both their academic and personal achievements; they are a diverse mix of individuals with an extensive amount to offer Fortismere. There is no doubt that these students have very exciting futures ahead of them.
