CHANGE OF DATE - Thursday 17th December is now the last day of term.
Following on from the DfE announcement on the 8th December we have taken the decision to close the school to students on Friday 18th December. This will make Thursday 17th December the last day of term. We will close at 3.20pm.
The Government have tasked us to continue with COVID contact tracing for the first 6 days after school closing for Christmas. For Fortismere these dates will now be Friday 18th – Wednesday 23rd December. During this time parents and carers should continue to contact us if their child receives a positive COVID test result. We will be monitoring our inboxes between 10.00am and 11.00am on each of those days and will contact any parent or carer whose son or daughter needs to self-isolate as a result of close or proximity contact with a positive case. We will then inform Public Health Haringey of our actions. We therefore need to request that parents and carers regularly check their inboxes for communication from the school and that, in the event of an instruction to self-isolate that the government guidelines are adhered to.
If you need to report a positive COVID case please email the Co-headteachers and Ms K Sullivan using the following email addresses:
Ms K Sullivan: firstname.lastname@example.org
It is important that you include the following information:
- When your child first developed symptoms.
- The number on the test result.
- The names of any Fortismere students outside of your child’s teaching group with whom your child socialises outside of school.
