BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

our co-curricular offer

At Fortismere, we believe that developing the whole child means looking beyond academic achievement to nurture talents, build character and open doors to new possibilities. Our co-curricular programme is central to our vision of preparing articulate, confident and socially responsible individuals who are ambitious for life beyond school.

From our vibrant performing arts, where major productions involve over 175 students and our community choir brings generations together, to competitive sport where we're Haringey champions across multiple disciplines, our offer is both exceptional in breadth and inclusive in reach. Over 45 regular lunchtime and after-school clubs span music, drama, sport, academic enrichment and student leadership, complemented by curriculum trips, careers education, and opportunities to compete, perform and lead.

This isn't just about keeping students busy. Every club, performance, fixture and trip develops the knowledge, skills and character our students need to thrive. Whether discovering a passion through our scholars programme, building resilience on the sports field, finding their voice in debate society, or contributing to their community through our Mental Health Champions programme, students grow in confidence, forge meaningful relationships and develop the independence that will serve them throughout their lives.

We're committed to ensuring every student benefits from these transformative experiences. Financial barriers are removed for disadvantaged students, adaptations are made for those with SEND, and participation is tracked to ensure no one misses out. Because at Fortismere, opportunity isn't a privilege - it's an entitlement.
