INCLUSION
The Fortismere Community
Fortismere is a high-achieving, creative community where academic ambition and personal growth go hand in hand. We design, deliver and adapt our curriculum to ensure that all our students become curious and critical thinkers who achieve excellent outcomes. Strong relationships and a culture of mutual respect foster collaboration, empathy, and independence, preparing every student to thrive in their futures as articulate, confident and socially responsible individuals.
We are ambitious for every child. We celebrate diversity and belonging. Every individual is valued and included. This commitment is embedded in the structure of our school community through three interconnected provisions that ensure every student can thrive.
Our Inclusive Family of Provisions
1. Fortismere School
Our mainstream school provides a vibrant, ambitious curriculum with strong pastoral support and adaptive teaching. Students with SEND consistently outperform all students nationally.
2. FINCH Alternative Provision
For over four years, FINCH has provided personalised support for students who need a different pathway, enabling them to re-engage with learning and progress confidently to their next chapter.
3. Autism Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP)
Opening September 2026, our ARP provides specialist support for students with autism who benefit from a combination of mainstream and specialist teaching, ensuring they remain part of the wider Fortismere community.
One Vision, Shared Values
All three provisions are rooted in Fortismere's core values:
- We are ambitious for every child: High expectations and excellent outcomes across all pathways
- We celebrate diversity and belonging: Every student is valued, included, and supported to thrive
- We build relationships on kindness and trust: Strong, positive relationships underpin all our work
- We show commitment and courage: We do what's right, not what's easy
- We prepare our students for their futures: All students leave equipped with independence, confidence, and social responsibility
