Welcome to Careers at Fortismere
Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) is available to all students from Year 7 through to Year 13.
Mrs Phillips is the Careers Advisor for the school and she can be found in the Careers Office in the LINC building.
Mrs Phillips will provide independent advice and guidance with regard to careers and further education at the following times:
- Wednesdays - all day
- Thursdays - all day
- Fridays - morning only
Mrs Phillips is available to all students and parents/carers to offer advice in relation to:
- Options in Year 9
- Further and higher education
- Employment and apprenticeships
All students have access to a wide range of resources to assist in future progression.
All students are entitled to CEIAG. CEIAG will be integrated into all students' experience fo the whole curriculum and be based on a partnership with students and their parents/carers. The programme will raise aspirations, challenge stereotyping and promote equality and diversity.

Results Days 2017
Ms Phillips will be available on both Results Days (GCSE & A-Level) to assist students should they not achieve predicted grades to take up chosen University courses or A-Level/BTEC courses. She will be based in the LINC Building (ground floor opposite the Learning Mentors’ office) to see students and parents/carers to talk over next steps if students do not obtain necessary entry requirements.
Haringey Early Help and Prevention Service is also offering a GCSE Results Day Drop-In service on Thursday 24th August at Wood Green Library from 10am to 4pm. Advice and guidance on next steps will be available to Year 11 students. The Drop-In will be found on the second floor of the Library (High Road, Wood Green, N22 6XD).
