This is a great opportunity to get a flavour of our school and what it offers.  As well as meeting staff and some current students who will guide you around the site and answer your questions about life at Fortismere.  There will also be talks by the Co-Headteachers.  Please book a place if you would like to attend.

There will be two attendance options - A talk by the Co-Headteachers first, followed by a tour (enter the school via Tetherdown at 4pm), or the other way around, a tour first followed by the Co-Headteachers' talk (enter the school via Creighton Avenue at 4pm).

Additionally, our Year 7 students and the School Library are hosting a Bake Sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer charity.  We'd love you to bring some change to support their fundraising efforts!

The Art & Photography Department would like to invite you to the A level Exhibition 2023. There will be speeches and prizes at 7.30pm.  Please come and celebrate our students' achievements and see some fantastic art and photography.

We will be keeping an eye on snowfall this evening (11th Dec). We have prepared the site for cold weather so we anticipate being open as normal tomorrow. We will send a parent mail in the morning to confirm.

Despite two years of disrupted education and the cancellation of their GCSE exams in 2020, the cohort of 2022 have proved themselves to be resilient, focused and hard working students, more than able to meet the challenges presented by Covid. These results reflect both the hard work of our students and our staff who delivered learning through two turbulent years.

The fantastic results achieved by our students will enable them to realise their ambitions and embark on the next stages of their lives, be that further study or the world of work. Fortismere students have  once again demonstrated they are committed, aspirational and ambitious and we are delighted that they will be moving on now with qualifications that are reflective of their hard work. We are very proud of them all and we wish them well in their future endeavours.

Inter-College Drama Festival takes place 30th September- 3rd October. 30 chosen students from each college will spend 5 hours creating a short devised play working with 3 Sixth form directors who are studying Drama A level. These plays, from the 5 different colleges, will be performed to an audience of friends and family on the evening of Thursday 3rd October. You are warmly invited to the Performance Competition Evening on Thursday 3rd October 7pm in the North Wing Hall. Tickets will be £5 and available on Parentmail Payment system and on the door

Congratulations to our Year 13 students who have excelled themselves once again at A level.  We are so proud of you all.  1 in 5 students achieved at least 3 A grades which is remarkable.  11% of the grades achieved were A* and 71% of the grades achieved by our students were at least B grade.

The team played 8, won 5, drew 2 and only lost narrowly to the eventual winners, Alexandra Park School.
