Careers Advisor

Salary:  SO1 Pro Rata

(£30,585 - £31,557)

  (Term Time: 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum)                          

We are looking to appoint an experienced individual who would relish the opportunity to lead, monitor and evaluate the delivery of a rich and exciting careers programme within our school whilst successfully implementing a school-wide Careers Strategy.  The successful individual will work in a collaborative, partnership focused manner to ensure the careers programme and student entitlement meets all eight of the Gatsby benchmarks of good practice. These include; interventions, 1:1s, workshops, activities and events that are aspirational, empowering and enable students to make informed choices about their future in relation to their education, training and employment.

The Careers Advisor role sits within the wider setting of a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. Our school vision is one which sees education, and the opportunities we make available, as having the potential to transform the lives of our young people.

The successful candidate will work with post-holders to further improve the academic and extracurricular impact of careers across the school community. The successful candidate will be passionate and demonstrate the qualities of an outstanding practitioner. They will put students at the heart of what they do and work with us as we continue to maintain the outstanding support, advice and progress of our students.
