Trip to China

Mandarin students enjoy a trip to China, exploring historical sites and taking part in calligraphy lessons!

Between 9th and 18th of June we had the pleasure of taking our 31-strong group of Mandarin learners to Beijing and Harbin. Students (and staff!) were able to enjoy a range of cultural highlights in Beijing such as climbing the Great Wall of China along with visiting Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven. In Harbin we met up with our Confucius Institute colleagues at Harbin Normal University and students took part in Mandarin lessons, calligraphy sessions and paper cutting workshops. I would like to thank all students for their engagement, their good humour and their continued interest in discovering more about China! 很好!
